"Midwives are like witches....without the evil or the magic" - Luke Nielsen
Yesterday we had our last appointment with our midwife Rachel. Back in August, Luke and I prayed that God would give us wisdom and that He would lead us to either the right doctor or midwife.....we are so thankful that He lead us to Rachel and Carolyn. The care we received was exceptional! During our forty-five minute appointments Rachel and Carolyn took the time to discuss any concerns and questions that we had...I really appreciated how they took time to explain the tests and procedures that were available to us and enabled us to actively plan the birth of our daughter. During the delivery Rachel was fabulous! I loved that she came to my house to check on me and I felt so safe in her care while we were in the hospital. Once Violet was home with us, both Carolyn and Rachel made several trips to our house to check on our babe and my blood pressure. Needless to say....we LOVE our midwives and are so thankful that they were there to walk this life changing journey with us.
