Time for an Update!

We are definitely adjusting to our new lives, post maternity leave. Overall, it has been an easy adjustment. It's been really nice to be back at work, and in some ways it feels like I never left. I'm praying that God will direct my steps and that I will end up where He needs me. Going back to work has really helped me to savour the days I have at home and I don't think I could ever get tired of the the impromptu family days.

Violet is growing by leaps and bounds. She's starting to furniture walk and is getting more confident on her feet with every passing day. Her vocabulary is starting to expand and she now attempts to say, "all done" and "hi dad" and "bye dad." She does say "mom," but for some reason if she's upset she likes to call me "Mim"! It's pretty cute. Her favourite word still seems to be "boof" and she still says it whenever she sees a dog...or something she thinks is a dog. "No sweetie, that's a crow....crows say 'caaaaaaaaa', not 'boof!'" :) We've been teaching her some sign language and it has really come in quite handy. Violet knows the signs for: all done, more, eat, water, and her favourite....milk :)

Well, that's all for now....it's hard to believe she's going to be a year old in less than a month! CRAZY!

Everything is a toy! I was quite surprised to turn around and find Violet with this container on her head.

Big girl eating! Hmmmm maybe we need to start working on the table manners....no feet on the table.

This face cracks us up! It's her...you're being a momma-razzi face.

She loves those Arrowroots!
